SOUTH NEW BRIGHTON PROGRESS LEAGUE MEETS

A meeting of the South Brighton Progress League was held in the Bridge Street Hall'last evening. The president, Mr A. E. Lawry, was in the chair. Messrs Lawry and E. A. Robinson were appointed the League’s nominees for the forthcoming householders’ meeting at the New Brighton School. Mr D. G. Sullivan wrote thanking the members of the league for their message of sympathy in the death of his father. The South Brighton Surf Club's application for the loan of the league’s side shows for the club’s carnival at the new South Brighton pavilion on Easter Mondav was granted. Mr and Mrs C. T. Middleton wrote thanking the League for its message of sympathy. The secretary was instructed to write to the New Brighton Borough Council asking that South Brighton should not be overlooked when the borough was being filmed by the Government Publicity Department. It -was decided to request the Borough Council to draw the borough inspector’s attention to the stray stock nuisance in South Brighton.
