COAL CONTROL BOARD OPPOSED.

MINEOWNERS DECLARE AGAINST THE REPORT. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received April 2, 8.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 2. The colliery proprietors entirely disagree with the Coal Commission’s recommendation for the appointment of a board of three to control the coal industry. They claim that it would involve the creation of a huge bureaucracy, saddling the industry with an enormous annual cost. Moreover, artificial regulation and interference would accentuate the present difficulties. The miners’ representatives and union officials generally state that the Commission’s recommendation for licensing employees would not be tolerated for a moment. The Premier, Mr Bavin, informed Parliament that the Commission's report would in due course be debated in the Assembly.
