REBEL PRISONERS PUT ON BREAD AND WATER.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received April 1. 11.30 a.m.) PERTH, April 1. The prisoners in the Fremantle Gaol who went on strike last week have been ordered a diet of bread and water and extra imprisonment. Official information is refused. Prisoners in the Fremantle Gaol struck, complaining of the quality of the food and the paucity of tobacco. They commenced to make a din, which they kept up the whole night through.
