CITY COUNCIL MAKES DONATION OF £IOO.
A donation of £IOO to the Obstetric Endowment Appeal was made by the City Council last evening on the recommendation of the Finance Committee. The committee reported that representatives of the local committee of the Obstetrical Society waited upon the committee and asked for a contribil- - from the council towards the fund being raised for the Midwifery Department of the New Zealand Medical School, Dunedin. The committee recommended that a donation of £IOO be made to the fund. The report was adopted.
