VARIED PROGRAMME AT THE CIVIC THEATRE.

Tho Rarron-Donovan fight at New Plvmouth lias a prominent position on the programme at the Civic Theatre. It must be admitted that the photographs <.-f the fight, out in the open, have turned out splendidly. They are highly creditable m every way to the photographers,' and to all who helped to make this record of (he contest between tlie “Alabama 13aby” and the New Zealander. The “Skeleton Dance” is as amusing as it is weird. A dozen skeletons perform to lively music some of the popular modern dances of the vaudeville stage. Most of the rest of the. picture programme is taken up with “The Locked Door”, a story full of interest and thrilT. Tt is highly dramatic in tone, with every incident very carefully thought out. and all working up to an artistic and impressive climax. Mr Leslie V., Harvey, organist, continues to give deep pleasure to patrons at the Civic Theatre. He

selects popular pieces which, in addition to entertaining the public, are ah education to them.

To-morro w tho fino film "Hurricane’ will be screened for tbe first time.
