She expects to arri\e at Sydney this afternoon. PLUME. The Vacuum Oil Company’s tanker Plume is due at Auckland from San Francisco to-day. The vessel has a full cargo of bulk oil for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. CITY OF WINNIPEG. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer City of Winnipeg cleared New York on March 17 and Newport News on March 20 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on REMUERA’S DEPARTURE. LONDON, March 31. The twenty-first report of the Port o*f London Authority emphasises the fact that London is the most extensive port in the world, stretching over sixtynine miles. It includes 170 miles of docks and wharves, the docks alone having a water area of 723 acres. Some of the. docks can take vessels drawing thirty-seven feet. London’s overseas trade is valued at £700,000,000 annually. More wool is brought there than to any other port in Britain, while 70 per cent of the meat handled in London comes through the port.
