Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 1. Arthur Caddy, alias Alley, who was yesterday sentenced to three months, imprisonment for embezzling ships’ stores, was charged with assaulting Bert Hoare, a member of the crew of the Raranga. Complainant was helping a constable round up members of the crew. He met Caddy, who attacked him in the street, and on the wharf. Later Caddy came up behind him on the ship with an open razor.
