MAN, KNOCKED DOWN BY TRAM, DIES IN HOSPITAL

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. March 30. Fatal injuries were received by Thomas Gannon, aged fifty-two years, a married man, as the result of being knocked down by a tram-car near the foot of College Hill at Freeman’s Bay at about six o’clock last evening. The injured man was removed to the Auckland Hospital, where an operation was performed, but Gannon died at 7.60 am. to-day. Gannon was a gas company employee of Point Chevalier.
