PIONEER SPORTS CLUB HAS ARRANGED TRIAL.

On Saturday afternoon next the Pioneer Sports Club will hold a non-stop social pillion trial, leaving the clubhouse at 2 p.m., proceeding 1 by way of Sumner, over Evans Pass to Lyttelton, thence via Governor’s Bay to the Kiwi. From the Kiwi competitors will go to the club-house via Dyer’s Pass Road. Competitors will leave at one-minute intervals, and must be on the mark fifteen minutes before time of starting. Times allowed will be as follows: Club-house to Evans Pass, clubhouse to second check, 75min; Kiwi to club-house, 30min. More than one minute over or under schedule time will disqualify a competitor. Competitors will be observed on a certain part of the journey, which will be notified at the starting point. Seven minutes will be allowed from the bottom of Governor’s Bay hill to the top. Certtflcates will be awarded to each competitor who complies with the whole .of the conditions. The following officials have been appointed to control the trial: Starter, Mr R. H. Parker; timekeepers, Messrs F. P. Sprosen/ L. C. Monkman, W. K. Sunley and F. Davies; marshals, Messrs C. R. Hayward and H. K. Payne; awards committee, Messrs Parker, Sprosen and Hayward.
