FLYER WILL ATTEMPT N.Z. NON-STOP FLIGHT.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 10. An attempt to establish a non-stop flight record from Dunedin to Auckland in a moth aeroplane will be made by Captain J. D. Hewett, of Auckland, on Thursday. Captain Hewett will leave Auckland to-morrow on a nonstop flight to Wellington. If conditions permit he will go on to Dunedin to-morrow afternoon by another nonstop trip. Captain Hewett’s plans provide for his departure from Dunedin at five o’clock on Thursday morning and for his arrival at Auckland from eight to ten hours later. An extra tank holding forty-five gallons of petrol has been fitted to the machine.
