Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, February 10. The president of the New Zealand Newspaper Proprietors* Association (Mr C. W. Earle) to-day received the following letter from the. late GovernorGeneral, Sir Charles Fergusson, dated February S:— “On leaving New Zealand, I wish to express through you to the Press of New Zealand and to all connected with it my great appreciation of the unfailing courtesy and consideration shown to me throughout my time in this country by newspapers and reporters alike. No one knows better than myself the tact and care that have been shown in discrimination of what should be reported and published, and I should feel very ungrateful if I did not acknowledge it and express my sincere thanks. “Believe me, yours verv faithfully—“CHAßLES FERGUSSON.”
