CAR TAKEN FROM CITY IS FOUND AT RANGIORA.

The Ford car, belonging to Dr C. H. Gould, of 239, Hereford Street, which was stolen at about 11 o’clock last Friday night, has been located at Rangiora. The car. a two-seater coupe, painted brown, No. 24-642, was left outside 22, Cashel Street West, by Dr Gould, and when he returned from the house it was gone.

A man called between 11 and 12 p.m. on Friday at Palmer and Doak’s Garage, Rangiora, with a car and asked for petrol. The night watchman on duty in the new building being erected for the firm told the man he could not supply petrol, so the man attempted to start the car, but could not. He left the car, saying that he would call next day for it. He did not return, however, and yesterday the car was identified by a newspaper description as being the one lost by Dr Gould. No damage had been done to the car.
