BIG DEVELOPMENTS IN QUEENSLAND PENDING. (United Press Assn,—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received February 3, 10.35 a.Tn.) SYDNEY, February 3. The acting-Minister of Customs, the Hon F. M. Forde says that big developments in the production of power alcohol from molasses are pending in Queensland. It is estimated that the first factory at SaTina, which will soon be ready for operation, will produce sufficient spirit for the whole of Queensland’s requirements, roughly something over 8,000,000 gallons yearly. Negotiations are proceeding to purchase the total output of molasses, which was previously thrown away.
