The report of the Jubilee Institute for the Blind, at Auckland, records that much-needed additions to the buildings have been completed, and that further classes for adult blind workers have met with a splendid response. The Institute Band, made a very successful tour of the Dominion, and. the generosity and kindness of the public was much appreciated. A fine panoramic view of the institute, showing the various workshops, gives an idea of the work that is being done in training the blind to undertake useful trades and occupations. The progress made during the last seven years is shown by the fact that 76 persons were on the roll in 1923, and 126 in 1929, the sale of goods realising £2466 in 1923, and £9OOO in 1929. The report states that, unfortunately, voluntary subscriptions have shown a small de crease.
