RESIGNATIONS DEMANDED OF BOWLING CLUB MEMBERS.

Expulsion Threatened After Fracas At Linwood Green On Saturday.

An ultimatum that both members of the Linwood Bowling Club who were involved in the fracas on the green on Saturday afternoon should be suspended and that their resignations should be sent in within twenty-four hours was delivered by the committee of the club last evening. If the resignations are not received, the action for expulsion under Rule 28 of the club’s rules is to be taken. Under this rule, the committee has practically no other option in dealing with the case. The inquiry arose out of an incident on Saturday. Following an argument regarding the play in one of the heads, one player who occupies a prominent position in the club is said to have, attacked another player while the latter was in the act of delivering his bowl, striking him in the mouth. A fight between the two players ensued, according to the report, both men receiving injuries which necessitated medical attention.
