CAR CAPSIZES NEAR RADLEY STREET BRIDGE
A five-seater Essex sedan car, belonging to Mr C. G. Nichola, of 87, Heywood Terrace. overturned at the Rariley Street Bridge, \Voolston, during tz'e holidays. Mr Nicholas himself was ahsent from home at the time. It appears that the driver of the car applied the brakes too suddenly when the car was travelling at a fair speed with the result that it went into 2 skid and capsized. There were several passengers in the car but no one was injured The top of the hood was torn off and the occu< pants of the car stepped out bv this means. The body of the car was completely wrecked and the chassis badh" twisted. The engine was not damaged and the car was driven away. first to the home of the owner, and later to the garage. The spare tyre was stolen from the rear of the car during the few minutes that the occupants were away from the scene.
