“THE SHOW DOWN” AT GRAND THEATRE.
This week’s programme at the Grand Theatre is to be comprised of a drama, a comedy, and an interesting collection of miscellaneous pictures, an “Our pang” comedy, topical films, and the eleventh chapter of “The Pirate of Panama,” which, approaching the end, grows more and more thrilling. “The Show Down,” the principal picture. and a strong drama featuring George Bancroft, is film entertainment strikingly different from the ordinary. The picture is practically pure drama, very little comedy or romance interfering with the absorbing story played out in the Florida oil camps. Evelyn Brent. Neil Hamilton and Leslie .Fenton have supporting roles, but it is Bancroft’s picture. The second featured picture, “Toni, is an original for the screen, and Jack Buchanan, the popular British musical comedy star, has the title role. The box plans are at The Bristol Piano Company, where seats may be reserved.
