MAIN TRUNK TRAFFIC DELAYED BY MISHAP.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 6. Ten carriages and a van became uncoupled from the express which left for Wellington at 7.40 last night as the train was about to enter the Parnell tunnel. Both sections w*ere brought back to the city, and the train was re-coupled and departed at 9.55 p.m. An extra express, timed to depart at 8.4. was delayed till 10.15 p.m. Passengers in the 7.40 express first knew of the mishap because of a jolt. Then the train crew examined the broken couplings and reported the occurrence.
