PARAGRAPH IN “ STAR ” HAD MAGICAL EFFECT.
SEARCH FOR TRO'I'I'ERS ENDED IN 15 MINUTES. The two trotting horses that strayed from a paddock at Addington on Friday morning, were recovered as a direct result of the publication of a paragraph in the I Star." The horses, Roddy and Wild Spur, were missed at 3 am. and the search went on continuously until the “Star" was issued. Mr Alexander Cross, of Cross and Sons. expressed his appreciation of the influence of the “ Star " in ending the search. Within fifteen minutes of the publication of the news, he says, and as a direct result of it. the horses were found.
