WOMAN IS FATALLY HURT IN ACCIDENT.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 3. Fatal injuries were sustained by Mrs Josephine Clarke, aged 57, of Ponsonby. when she was struck by a motor-car after alighting from a tram car in Jervois Road, Ponsonby, this afternoon. She died in the Auckland Hospital an hour and a half after her admission. She had sustained severe internal injuries. The accident bccurred at the Hamilto.i Road tram stopping place, where Mrs Clarke left a tram which was proceeding to Herne Bay. Just after stepping into the roadway she was struck by a motor-car.
