CHRYSANTHEMUMS IN ENGLAND.

How many of those who find plea sure in chrysanthemums are aware that the first of the species ever grown in England is still on exhibition? The plant, one of the small yellow-flowered variety, was reared at the Botanic Gar dens, Chelsea, 1764, and Philip Miller the famous gardener, preserved some of the flowers. The plant itself died after flowering only once, but one of the preserved blossoms found its way to the herbar ium of the British Meuseum, where it may still be seen.
