A SWEET THAT REQUIRES NO COOKING.
Melt a packet of jelly in the smallest possible quantity of hot water—no more than a tablespoonful. Pour this into a basin, add one lightly-beaten egg, and pour over all one pint of boiling milk, stirring continually. When well blended, turn the mixture into a moistened mould and set aside in a very cold place to set. Turn out and serve with whipped cream or custard. Pineapple or lemon jelly is the best to use; others do not give such a good result.
