PELTZER TO RUN ONE RACE IN N.Z.
GERMAN REGULATION TIES DOWN SPRINTER. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received January 3, noon.) BRISBANE, January 3. Dr Otto Peltzer, famous German athlete, dropped a bombshell into athletic circles on his arival to-day, announcing that he could run only in two races in Australia. This was the German regulation and coiild not be broken. He had run two races in Manila and had four left, one of which he would like to run in New Zealand. The fourth would be run in America. The attitude of his association was that visitors were imposed upon too much, and told when and where to run, to their detriment.
