THE NEW ZEALAND ALBUM.

To the Editor. Dear Sir,—By the courtesy of the Christchurch newspapers I was able to secure a very fine collection of photos from the Progress League, art studies from the School of Art supplied by Mr Wallwork, a sample of penmanship supplied by Miss Clark, head mistress of the Girls’ High School, photographs of the Cathedral, a busy day in Colombo Street, on the Avon, Lyttelton Harbour, etc. I desire to thank all those who so readily assisted in supplying a very fine collection of pictures, drawings, hand-writing, and statistics, all of which have been included in the New Zealand Album, and which has now been posted for inspection in the schools in Great Britain. I have received the attached letter from Mr H. G Hall, of Feilding, who has undertaken the compilation of this album. —I am, etc., H. HOLLAND. Christchurch, January 2, 1930. (Enclosure.) “ Dear Mr Holland, —May I thank you for the beautiful photographs, etc., tvhich you sent me for inclusion in the New Zealand Album? I specially withheld forwarding the album to England so that I could include them, and I have just posted the album with them inside. We found it rather difficult in Feilding to obtain suitable illustrations of Christchurch, and your kind assistance has filled the breach. I feel sure that those who peruse the album at Home will realise that Christchurch and Canterbury are second to none in New Zealand, either from an artistic or agricultural standpoint. May I again thank you for your interest and trouble?—l am, etc., “ H. G. HALL, " Headmaster.”
