“BROADWAY” COMING TO LIBERTY THEATRE.
Broadway is one of the most famous thoroughfares in the world. It takes Its place with Piccadilly Circus, the Champs Elysees, Under den Linden, the Nevsky Prospect, and all because Broadway knows how to laugh and sing and dance, and put a brave face upon adversity. It was inevitable that the talking screen should eventually produce a really good Broadway drama, not a picture that was merely an elongated song-and-dance, but a real drama of the Broadway people. It has come, in the film “Broadway,” and will be presented at Liberty Theatre Talkies next week. This picture, besides being of interest in that it really does give a real insight into the lives, back-stage and on stage and up stage, of the people who entertain the world, is also of interest in that it is Glenn Tryon’s first talkie, Glenn Tryon, that inimitably funny lad who first revolutionised the silent talkie, and who now dances, and sings and dares to bring his own brand of humour into a Broadway drama. Merna Kennedy is lady. The box plans for " Broadway ” open tomorrow morning at The Bristol Piano Company, where seats may be reserved.
