LATE SOCIAL NEWS.

WEDDING. At her parents’ home in Bishop Street, the marriage took place this afternoon of Tui, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs J. J. Vincent, to Leonard Joseph, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Hensley, Invercargill. The Rev Father Macdonald officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful frock of ivory georgette, made with a long full overskirt of tulle flounces opening in the front over the georgette. The tightly fitting bodice with long sleeves came to a deep point in the front, and the veil was arranged in cap form with orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white flowers. Miss Mona Vincent, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid. Her frock was of floral georgette with a white ground and she wore a hat of delphinium blue felt and carried a bouquet of delphiniums. Mr Colin Richards attended as best man. The reception was held in a large marquee erected on the lawn and decorated with delphiniums and pink larkspurs. Mrs Vincent received her guests and wore a frock of midnight blue georgette and lace and a hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Mrs Hensley’s gown was of navy blue georgette and lace and her hat of Bangkok straw was also navy blue. She carried a bouquet of cerise roses. The bride's travelling ensemble was of heavy mastic silk, with a hat of a darker shade turning sharply off the face and having a wide brim at the back. ___
