RAKAIA SCHOOL HOLDS PICNIC AND SPORTS.

The Rakaia Convent School picnic was held in the domain in glorious weather. The following are the results of the sports events:—

During the afternoon the Very Rev Father Price presented the prizes won during the year, the recipients being: Gold medal—Stanley Duncan (dux 1929) presented by Mrs S. Connolly. Duncan Brown, Gavin Penrose, Kevin Tully, John O’Reilly, Thomas M’Anulty, Jo7ui Duncan, Leo Harris, George Morland, Kathleen Slaney, Margaret Duncan, Joan Baker, Thelma Healey, Patricia M’An ulty, Mary Turton, Eileen Carney, and Annie Wilson. Mr W. Laraman (vicepresident of the Rakaia Cycling and Athletic Club) presented medals to the winning relay team comprising—Stan. Duncan, Duncan Brown, Trov. Rule, and Pat Tully.
