FURTHER EARTHQUAKE FELT IN CHRISTCHURCH.

At eight minutes past four this morning an earthquake was recorded at the Christchurch Magnetic Observatory. It was slight, but was more severe than the one experienced yesterday morning. It was almost certainly from the north of Christchurch, and the measurement of the record makes the distance of the origin slightly over 120 miles distant, which is about the same distance as the Buller 'quake was from here. The record shows that seismic activity was not confined to New Zealand, as movements from two minor, and more distant shocks, show up earlier on the seismograph.
