It was a smart sprinting performance, suggestive of useful efforts on the northern trip. Hurly Burly covered six furlongs by herself in lmin 18sec, and did it without apparent effort. Turnover beat Huntley over six furlongs in lmin 17 2-ssec. These two are in nice order for West Coast engagements. Hoylake strode out freely over seven furlongs, which he left behind in lmin 31 sec. The imported horse looks well. Mar sham and Gay Crest occupied lmin 32 3-ssec for seven furlongs. Danthonia reeled off seven furlongs in lmin 31sec, an attractive performance.
