SANDERS CUP TRIAL HELD AT WELLINGTON.
SEAMANSHIP TESTED BY WEATHER CONDITIONS Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 10. The first of the series of Sanders Cup trials was held on the harbour last night. There was a strong northerly blowing, accompanied by a rather choppy sea, but these two factors afforded the crews an opportunity to give
an exhibition of'tbeir seamanship, which they did; in fact, it was conceded by many, judging on sailing times and the state of the wind, that this trial could bo numbered among the most successful that have been held in Wellington. The placings and finishing times were as fallows :
Clyde, 7hr 4Gmin 4osec I All Black, 7hr 43min 9sec 2 Miss Josephine, 7hr 44min 30sec .... 3 Wellesley 11, 7hr 45min 14sec 4 Wellesley 1., 7-hr 46min 55sec 5 Peggy, 7hr 47min 32sec 6
