P.T. TO G.R.B. AND C. IN D.
To the Editor. Dear Sir,—l would like to use the space I hope you are going to give me on something more worth while than replying to my critics. G.R.B. cites “one celebrated case”. We have thousands of celebrated cases. “Credo in Deo”—how would he like “Experto Crede” for a nom de plume? It would not suit him. However, does he know that “Satan is not grinning in fiendish glee” at the likes of him. He surely knows the nature of the approbrious remarks some people make about his church. I hope never to take up the role of a denouncer. But enough (perhaps too much). I can’t resist saying how interested I was to read what Mr Ray Blank had to say on municipal golf. I agree with much that he does say. But on one vital point I differ from him entirely. I hope several more prominent golfers will show the same public spirit and interest as Mr Ray Blank in the problem—and there is a problem naturally —and will come down and see what has been done, what is proposed to be done, and comment upon it. It is a public matter. —I am, etc., PETER TROLOVE.
