THE ROYAL SHOW IS OPENED TO-DAY AT INVERCARGILL.
SOUTHLAND ASSOCIATION ENTERTAIN THE GOVERNOR Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, December 10. The weather was fine but dull for the Royal Show. Judging is now proceeding. The Governor-General and the Lady Alice Fergusson were entertained at luncheon by the Southland Association. Among those present were:—Mr W. Perry, president of Hie Royal Show Society; the Ho* l G - * Forbes, Minister of Lands; the Hon P. A. de la Perrelle and Mrs B. B. Wood, who represented Sir Joseph Wara. Later the show was officially opened by the Governor-General.
