BIGGEST FOR YEARS.— The biggest trout landed in Canterbury for a number of years was caught in the Number Two Selwyn during the week-end. This picture shows one of a basket of seven caught by Mr L. Brunton. It weighed twenty pounds. It was taken at night on a large fly under water. Mr D. Hope, curator of the Acclimatisation Gardens, who is a noted taxidermist, will skin and set the fish up. Mr Brunton’s basket was one of many good ones taken at the lake over the week-end.
