Cod and Macaroni. —Take Jib maca ! roni, boil it in salted water until tender. Drain it well and cut into lengths of about 2in. Make a pint of melted butter in the usual way, and season it with the juice of one lemon and pep per and salt to taste. W hen it has cooled down a little add two wellbeaten eggs and the macaroni. Trim the remains of some cold cod to the weight of 11b. Break it into small flakes and stir into the pan with the macaroni. Place the whole of this in a well buttered pie-dish, sprinkle with grated breadcrumbs, and put in a brisk oven t brown.
