WEDDINGS.

WEST—COLLISCHONN. Maples and palms, with large bowls of pink and white blossoms, decorated St Barnabas Church, Fendalton, last •evening, when the marriage was celebrated of two young Canadians. The bride was Lilian, only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. Collischonn, Los Angeles, formerly of Winnipeg, and the bridegroom was Herbert, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Frank West, of Vancouver. The Rev F. B. Redgrave conducted the service, and Mr A. Merton was organist. The bride was given away by Mr C. L. Dearsley. Her beautiful gown of white panne velvet was fashioned with a long bodice closely fitting the figure, and long tight-fitting sleeves falling in points over the hand. The flared skirt, attached to the bodice in deep points, had a full back panel forming a long train. Her veil of white net was arranged at the back of the head with a fan effect, held in place with a spray of orange blossom, and fell in soft folds over the train of the skirt. She carried a bouquet of golden roses, and a handkerchief of silk and Honiton lace, which had been carried by her mother on her wedding day. Miss Fay Cowper, the attendant bridesmaid, wore a charming frock of gold lace over peach pink crepe de chine, with the skirt falling long at the back, and a Russian headdress of the gold lace. Her bouquet was of deep pink roses. Mr Melville Dearsley attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at “ Tiroltal,” Mrs C. L. Dearsley’s beautiful home, where the drawing and dining rooms and the adjoining verandah had been decorated with sweet peas. Mrs Dearsley received the guests. Her distinctive gown was of heavy black georgette, with angel sleeves, and a black fringe collar falling from a diam.ente yoke, with a similar fringe overskirt from the diamente waist yoke With this was worn a black satin marocain coat with a monkey fur collar and cuffs, and a black ballibuntl straw hat. She carried a bouquet of crimson roses. An unusual tailored ensemble of flecked kasha in a soft beige shade was worn by Mrs West for travelling. The dress was trimmed with large brown buttons from neck to hem, and the skirt was pleated at the back. The cape, which buttoned on to the dress in the front, was short on the left shoulder and fell to the waist on the right. With it she wore a summer felt hat of beige with the brim turned sharply from the face. ROSS—PIDDING. A marriage was solemnised in Coulhill, Palmerston, at the residence of Mr and Mrs Hugh Ross, by the Rev R. A. Chisholm, between Miss E. G. Pidding, late of England, and Mr T. J. Ross, of Ruroa, Taranaki, eldest son of the late Mr Thomas Ross, of Rossburn, Rangiora. The bride wore a smart frock of ivory georgette, prettily panelled and trimmed with fine silver lace. She wore silver shoes and ivory hose. The orthodox tulle veil and wreath of orange blossom was supplemented with a beautiful shower bouquet. The bride’s travelling dress was a smart brown hand-embroidered frock, a small toque, brown shoes and a smart tweed coat. Mr Hugh Ross gave the bride away and Mr Wm. Frame, jun., of Hampden, was best man. Miss Joan Forbes, Dunedin, cousin of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid.
