"SINBAD THE SAILOR” SEASON CONCLUDED.

The final performance of “ Sinbad the Sailor,” presented by Unlimited Charities, was given on Saturday night. It was well up to the standard reached during the week, and at the conclusion the audience gave the performers an ovation. Mr L. E. Vernazoni, the author and producer of the pantomime, expressed his thanks to the performers for the able way in which they had carried out their parts. He said that it was a matter of regret that the public had not supported the play better, but what had lacked in support had been made up in enthusiasm. The pantomime was given in aid of the orphanages of Christchurch, but up to the present a correct estimate of the financial position can not be given.
