“THE HOLE IN THE WALL” AT LIBERTY THEATRE
Both featured attraction, and the interesting talking supports at Liberty Theatre this week are of more than ordinary appeal. “ The Hole in the Wall”, exploiting a novel theme, is adapted from the well-known stage play which had a long run in New York a few seasons ago, and a cast of experienced artists were assembled to play the roles. Among the supporting subjects the all-talking comedy “Lucky in Love” stars Clyde Cook, the Australian comedian who visited New Zealand with many companies, and a song cartoon, “Yankee Doodle Boy” is a musical number that is at once melodious and amusing in its manner of rendering. The News of the World opens with a visit to Brussels, and ends up in Havana Harbour. Lieutenant Williams, who was to be the United States entrant for the Schneider Trophy contest, is seen and heard trying out his seaplane, “Mercury”. The box plans are at The Bristol Piano Company, where seats should be reserved.
