LEO DIEGEL RETAINS U.S. PROFESSIONAL TITLE.

(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, December 7. By defeating Johnny Farrell, 6 up and 4 at Los Angeles, Leo Diegel retained the Professional Golfers’ Association National Championship. Farrell, after the game started slipped down in the second round, and was unable to recover. In the semi-finals, Leo Diegel defeated Walter Hagen, 3 and 2. There was little to choose between Hagen and Diegel, whose play was excellent. The winner gained a lead of two holes in the morning round.
