26 LIVES LOST IN STORM NOW SWEEPING BRITISH ISLES.
‘Twenty-six lives have so far been lost in the worst gale that has swept the British Isles for years. At times the wind reached a velocity of ninety-four miles an hour. Ships suffered severely, and several disasters are reported. , On land telephone lines are down, rivers are in flood, and much damage has been reported.
