ASHBURTON NEWS.
(Special to the “Star.”) ASHBURTON, December 7 A single man, Eddie Johnson, aged forty-six years, died suddenly at Seafield ye~terday. He was shearing at the time. Deceased was in partnership w’ith his brother, Fred Johnson, who had been farming at Seafield for about nineteen years. Mr Johnson was an enthusiastic member of the Seafield Rifle Club and won .he Curtis Cup for most points in the past year. At the inquest a verdict was . returned that death was due to heart failure.
