HELL.
To the Editor. Dear Sir, —I notice the above word on one of the church notice boards; also two letters on the subject. As we Spiritualists are regarded by some folk as imps of Satan, we should know something about hell, and we do, as we sometimes have souls come to our seances who say they are or have been in hell. Many years ago a friend gave me this curious message: “You earth people, I am told, are better situated to help those placed as I am than our fellow souls on this side.” Our kind thoughts—prayers—are often asked for. The Bible says Judas went to his “own place”. We will all go there, and nowhere else—our own place —the place we are making here and now as our house or condition. It was silly of Judas to put himself over, as that exit always makes matters worse. “Out of hell one can’t get,” teach some of the churches.- “Emptying the hells is our greatest joy,” says Stead’s Julie. —I am, etc., PETER TROLOVE.
