DANGEROUS CRICKET.
To the Editor. pear Sir, —Is there anyone in authority who can stop cricket being played on Cranmer Square? It is bad enough when boys practise it with disastrous results at times to the electric light globes, but when grown men and youths pitch wickets not ten yards from the footpaths and cut and lash at heavy balls regardless of the risks of passers-by, it is time to interfere. Cricket should not be allowed alongside footpaths, which are used constantly by women and children.—l am, etc., SAFETY FIRST.
