SCHOOL MAY TAKE YEARS AND YEARS TO EVENTUATE.
‘-The scheme to build a new senior primary school, in Milne Street, Sydenham, is in its very earliest stages,” said the secretary of the Education Board, Mr C. R. Kirk, this morning. “It might take years and years to come to anything,” he added. “As requested by the Department, the architect, Mr G. Penlington, is preparing the plans, but the ultimate fate of the scheme depends on the state of the exchequer.” The school, it is understood, is to be of 26 rooms costing approximately £40,000.
