MAN AND WIFE HURT WHEN MOTOR-CAR FELL 200 FEET DOWN BANK.
Per Press Association. TAUMARUNUI, December 5. Yesterday, when Mr A. M’Kenzie, of Karori, Wellington, accompanied by his wife, was driving an Essex car to Wanganui, the car skidded at a bad spot on the Piriaka Hill, went over a steep bank and fell 200 feet. M’Kenzie was taken to hospital suffering from shock and injuries to his head, but he is progressing satisfactorily. Mrs M’Kenzie is suffering from shock, but she was not taken to hospital. The car was badly damaged.
