MAORI IS DROWNED IN AHAURA RIVER.
Per Press Association. HOKITIKA, December 4. George Tainui, a Maori, was drowned in the Ahaura River last evening while engaged in dragging a net for flounders. The body was recovered this morning. He was a single man, aged forty.
