The opening’ of the Edgeware Croquet Club took place on Saturday. Mr D. L. Burns, president, complimented the cluo upon its progress and wished members a successful season. He especially thanked Mrs J. W. Beanland. captain, and Mrs G. Good, secretary, for their work and interest. The Mayor and Mrs Archer visited the green during the afternoon. Mr IL Holland, M.P., was represented by his wife. The green was in splendid order and there was a large attendance of members and friends. Miss Alison Burns, the presidents daughter, hit off the first ball.
