THERE was a disgraceful exhibition of wrestling at the stadium when Joe Zikmund, an American, attacked the referee, Mr Bridges, and threw him out of the ring. Bridges hurried hack and crowned the other wrestler, Jim Browning, also an American, whereupon Zikmund rushed the referee again, hut was promptly attacked by Browning, who secured a strangle hold. The referee gave his help, and hostilities then ceased. The bout, from the beginning, was a series of uppercuts, thumb and knuckle gouging and nose and ear pulling.
