FAST RACE EXPECTED IN NORTH ISLAND CYCLING EVENT.
Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., October 12. Only four out of the forty entrants in the Palmerston North to Wellington cycle road race failed to face the starter this morning. The limit men were sent away at 8.59 a.m., and the scratch men at 10.10, the Mayor being the starter. The conditions are good and a fast, keen race is expected.
