VISITING HOCKEY TEAMS. i The In&ngahua ladies’ hockey tcair.t . which are visiting Rangiora were taken r for a motor run yesterday morning to | Kaiapoi, where they were shown . through the woollen mills, and were i much interested in what they saw. • In the afternoon the B team played a match against the Rangiora Ladies’ s Club senior B team. The game was a fast one throughout, and ended in a draw, each side scoring a goal. In the second half, however, Rangiora had ’ their opponents on the defensive the greater part of the time, and narrowly • missel scoring three or four times. Miss • G. Cameron shot the goal for the visi--1 tors, and Mrs Allan Miles scored for - Rangiora. Mr L. S. Smith was referee. ■ In the evening an enjoyable dances ‘ in honour of the visitors was held at : the Parish Hall, and was well attended. - This afternoon the senior teams wui play their match at Dudley Park. There was a good attendance of tl:s Rangiora Y’s in the Methodist Schocl--1 room on Wednesday evening, when a 7 very successful “ bring and buy ” social ’ was held, sufficient funds being raised to cover the expense of sending a delc- ■ gate to the recent Waimatc convention.
