WANTS TO PUT WOOL INDUSTRY ON FEET.

During the discussion upon the Estimates in the Legislative Assembly, the Premier, -Mr A. E. Moore, to the serious position of the wool iir-lus-try. He expressed the hope that an Empire-wide marketing scheme for wool would be evolved, bringing in Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. He recognised that no scheme of organised marketing could be forced on Australi .1 pastoralists, but he was now in communication with Graziers’ Arsociations throughout the Commonwealth and the Federal Ministry, suggesting that this problem should be taken up without delay in order to try to put the wool industry on its feet again.—Australian Press Association.

STERLING RISES ABOVE PAR IN NEW YORK
